Teacher For A Day!

On Tuesday, November 20th, AHS hosted its annual Teacher for a Day event where Alpharetta civic leaders and community members are invited to spend the day shadowing an AHS teacher. The goal of this program, initiated by Principal Shannon Kersey in 2015, is to educate the community about the realities, complexities and rewards of being an educator in today’s world. This extremely successful event has brought the Alpharetta community closer together as partnerships and reciprocal supports have been formed and improved each year.

Ms. Harding, Katie : Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce

Crump's R.I.C.H. Raider Class!

Crump's R.I.C.H Raider Class is regarded as "hard working and positive" while supporting one another and maintaining the highest GPA in all of his classes.

Ms. Parris's R.I.C.H Raider Class!

Ms. Parris's R.I.C.H Raider class is her Spanish I second period. She remarks that the class is "the most hard-working and motivated class, and the students desire to participate and learn is exceptional."

Ms. Johnson's R.I.C.H. Raider Class!

Ms. Johnson's 3rd period class is one of the most inquisitive 9th grade On-level Biology classes I have ever taught. They routinely ask questions that take concepts and content beyond what we are learning and into the 4.0 Proficiency Scale range. I truly feel like a facilitator in that classroom, guiding them on their journey rather than just a discriminator of information.
