AHS Student Council Attends GASC


Seventeen members of the AHS Student Council attended the Georgia Association of Student Council's Convention at Rock Eagle this past weekend.  AHS also served as the Parliamentarian School on the Executive Board of GASC this past year!

Mr. Burton's Class Visits Mercedes Benz Stadium and Perkins and Will

Mr. Burton visited Perkins and Will, the firm that designed our school and learned about AHS's design as well as other engineering and architectural practices that promote energy sustainability. They then visited Mercedes Benz Stadium that has a Platinum LEED energy sustainability rating.

AP Statistics Students Estimate with Hershey Kisses

AP Statistics students use confidence intervals to estimate the proportion of times a Hershey kiss will land on its base when tossed.

AHS Robotics Club Wins 1st Place

Alpharetta Robotics club's team Eclipse took 1st place at First Tech Challenge (FTC) tournament on 2/3/18. This win qualifies them for Georgia's FTC state competition. Team black also qualified for state.

AHS Student Wins 4th Place in Georgia Brain Bee



Krishna Pari won 4th place in the Georgia Brain Bee that was held at Emory University. More than 50 top students from all over Georgia competed. They took a written test and the top 15 competed in an oral elimination type Jeopardy match.

AHS Students Attend Beta Conference in Savannah


Aditya Mhaskar Receives Appointment to United States Air Force Academy


Aditya Mhaskar has received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.

Alpharetta Introduces Music Technology Lab


In the Fall of 2018, Alpharetta High School will open a new, state-of-the-art Music Technology Lab!  Each of the 24 individual stations will include a brand new Apple iMac loaded with Pro Tools digital audio production software, Finale compositional software, Musition 5 music theory and musicianship software, Auralia 5 ear-training software, a Scarlett audio interface, an 88-key Korg Krome keyboard / digital workstation, a Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, a Shure microphone, and a headset. The classroom is connected with the new Korg GEC5 audio controller, allowing complete virtual control of the classroom.  In addition, the classroom is equipped with an Apple TV and projector and 2 sets of M-Audio speakers (BX5, BX8), allowing projects to be displayed and performed during class. Music Technology is an important tool for today’s musician. Students will be able to explore music creation, composition and arranging, and of course, the process of production to performance. 

Experience is recommended but NOT required.  Class size is limited, see Mr. Walsh to get on the list or get more information!
