AHS Men's Track Team Wins 7A State Championship!

                                   

In addition to the team placing first, our 4x400 relay team, consisting of Matteo Carriere, Kylen Crosby, CJ McFerrin, and Dylan Merrell took first.

 

The following students either won or placed in their individual events. CJ McFerrin: 1st (300m hurdles), 3rd (110m hurdles) Kylen Crosby: 2nd (400 m dash) Mark Morozov: 2nd (triple jump); 5th (long jump) Jevan Parara: 3rd (discus) Matteo Carriere: 4th (100m dash) Noel Asiedu: 4th (high jump) Congrats on your outstanding season!

Brian had the highest SAT score of 1570 and is ranked 5th out of 575.  He chose Ms. Gottlieb as his AHS Star Teacher.  Congratulations to Brian and Ms. Gottleib!

AHS Has Amazing Showing at GHSA Region Literary Meet!

 

Libby Lindhal was the region runner-up for Girls Solo, and Tanvi Patil, Trisha Patil and Shivaani Komanduri placed 3rd in Girls Trio. Both our Men’s Solo and Men’s Quartet won region competition and will be advancing to state next weekend! Yushus Komarlu placed 1st in Men’s Solo, and Charlie Bunarek, Farrel Russel, Duncan McCarthy, and Sanjay Maddala placed 1st in Men’s Quartet. Congratulations to all these amazing  performers!

AHS Raiders of the A.R.C. Teams Invited to GaFIRST FTC State Competition!

Alpharetta FBLA Wins State Sweepstakes Award for 9th Year in a Row!

Alpharetta FBLA earned the State Sweepstakes award at Georgia FBLA State Leadership Conference for most wins in the state.  26 members took first place in their competitive events!  Overall, 152 students placed in the top ten and 98 placed in the top 4 and qualified to compete in FBLA's National Leadership Conference.  Congratulations to you all!

AHS Men's Varsity Soccer Team Makes History! Region 5-7A Champs!

 

The men’s varsity soccer team recently wrapped up a region play after defeating Etowah 3-0. Goals scored by seniors Ashkon Mokhlesi, Caelin David and sophomore Evan Alvarez. Assists came from senior Zach Hugues and junior Stefan Culum. The Raiders went 10-0 in all region competition and became region champs after defeating Milton in a penalty shoot. The team is led by senior captains Suraj Mysore, Zach Hugues, and Caelin David. This is a first region championship in program history!  Congratulations Raiders!

AHS Band Program's Indoor Ensembles Finish Strong in State Championships!

 This past Saturday the AHS band program's indoor ensembles competed in the state championships.  Indoor Percussion Ensemble placed third in their class outscoring eight other teams.  The JV Winter Guard had an amazing show and ranked third in performance and fifth overall.  The AHS Varsity Winter Guard finished third in their class and will finish its season by submitting a video of their production for Winter Guard International's semi-finals competition with the possibility of advancing to finals.

Michelle Levesque to be Featured in May Issue of Alpharetta Lifestyle Magazine!

AHS Choral Director Michelle Levesque was chosen by Alpharetta Lifestyle Magazine to be part of a "Women in the Arts" feature providing advice for young women who are considering a career in the arts.  The issue will come out May.  Congratulations, Michelle!

Benjamin Henry Elected Senator at TeenPact Congress Leadership Camp!

                                                

Benjamin Henry attended TeenPact Leadership Camp at the Georgia State Building where he was elected senator among his peers.  Three senators were elected out of 12 candidates!  Benjamin will now go to the state capitol while legislators are in session.

Giulia Triulzi Awarded Scholastics National Gold Key Award!

 

Congratulations to Giulia Triulzi for being awarded a Scholastics National Gold Key award for her beautiful still life painting.  This is the highest Scholastic award an artist can receive!

AHS Varsity Winter Guard's performance in Kell competition earns Winter Guard International's Virtual Season Week 2 Digi Award and a spot in WGI's semi-finals! They are the first Georgia high school to make the semi-finals this season!  Congratulations!

AHS Senior Davita Verma Receives Laptops for Title I Schools!

Through Verma's nonprofit Pencils for Success, DHL donated 10 laptops that will go to a Title 1 school.  Pencils for Success has donated over 950 pounds of schools supplies, 300 books, and supported 5,000 students at 20 different schools.
