The Alpharetta High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended the 2018 State Leadership Conference from March 23-24 at the Atlanta Hyatt Regency and participated in competitive events, workshops and award ceremonies. This year, The AHS FBLA chapter has set a new school record by having 75 members qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, Maryland! These are our first place individual winners: Adam Wang (Accounting I), Divyesh Gutta (Accounting II), Nimita Deshpande (Coding & Programming), Benjamin Jensrud (Computer Problem Solving), Stephen Tong (Cyber Security) These are our first place team winners: Neha Chaparalla & Nive Sundaramurthy (Broadcast Journalism), Ruthie Bodeep & Alison Hu (Business Ethics), Kayvon Dibai, Divyesh Gutta, & Sidd Vemuri (Entrepreneurship), Amogh Gadekar, Suchetas Bokil, & Sarang Pujari (Intro to Business Presentation), Rohit Das, Dheeraj Eidnani, & Anand Krishnan (Marketing) Megan Gelber, Sophia Abedi, & Natasha Havanur (Publication Design), Sarah Medina & Kaushal Gokare (Social Media Campaign), Aditya Mhaskar, Rohith Sundar, & Atharva Athalye (Sports & Entertainment Management) In addition to this accomplishment, Alpharetta has also continued its 5-year streak in winning first in Chapter Sweepstakes. This award means that the chapter has had the most members placed on stage than any other school in Georgia. The Alpharetta chapter currently has been in possession of the trophy for 6 years and hopes to continue its legacy of being the best chapter in competitive events.

Furthermore, Alpharetta is very proud to announce that Vaishu Adimulam was elected to be the State President of Georgia FBLA for the 2018-2019 State Executive Council. Although the Alpharetta chapter has had previous state officers, this is the first time an AHS student has been State President. Her passion for this organization has been never-endless as she serves as the Membership Director and Head of Publicity Committee for the local chapter, interned for the 2017 National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, and works as the Social Media Manager for the National Secretary’s Council. Georgia FBLA’s state officer candidacy is a rigorous process as it requires an extensive application, candidate qualifying round with tests, multiple interviews and presentations, and campaigning. As a sophomore, she defies expectations. Vaishu proves to be an exemplary figure in the communities of Alpharetta with her power of dedication, perseverance and diligence. Alpharetta congratulates her for her huge accomplishments.
