Jourdan consistently goes above and beyond to support our students and staff. He is actively engaged throughout the entire school day, not only during instructional activities but also during downtime, where he takes the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students. He makes a genuine effort to learn about each student's interests, find common ground, and create authentic connections that help students feel valued and supported.
Jourdan's positive impact has also been recognized by others. Over the past several months, outside professionals have commented on his exceptional work with students. One substitute who worked alongside him shared, "Jourdan was wonderful yesterday. He was a huge help. He may be one of the best paras I have ever worked with." In addition to building strong relationships, Jourdan is always the first to step in and assist with student needs, including feeding, personal care, and other tasks that ensure our students receive the support they deserve. His love and dedication for our students paired with his willingness to help wherever needed make him an invaluable member of our team.
These professional assistants have been instrumental in supporting our attendance intervention system. They routinely support administration by coordinating data, submitting our weekly reports, and then supporting interventions by scheduling student meetings. Furthermore, they input all the data and have coordinate on the weekly data summaries that are featured in the Raider Reminders.
