On Saturday, October 24, the Alpharetta High School Marching
Raider Band competed in the inaugural Northeast Florida Marching Invitational
held on the beautiful campus of Jacksonville University in Jacksonville,
Florida. Our band gave an impressive performance and wowed the audience as well
as the national panel of judges. There
were 13 bands competing representing public and private schools from Georgia
and Florida. Our band placed first overall in the following captions:
Individual Music, General Effect Coordination, Ensemble Visual, Color Guard,
and Drum Major. Our band placed second overall in the following captions:
Ensemble Music, Music General Effect, Individual Visual, and Percussion. The
Marching Raider Band received the overall highest score of the day and was
named the Grand Champion!! What an awesome way to end this year’s competitive
marching band season. Mr. Walsh and Mr. Jenkins are very proud of the students’
hard work and dedication this year.
