The students at Alpharetta High School have been nominated for an unprecedented 15 Student Production Awards from The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.  Each year schools from across the Southeast upload and enter their best work.  The SouthEast Emmys examines and judges that work.  They award a nomination for a Student Production Award based on professional criteria similar to the Emmy Awards.

The students of Alpharetta High School in Tracy Misner's Audio-Video Film and Technology class, garnered nominations for Best Writing, Best Cultural Affairs Story, Best Photographer, Best Producer, Best Sound, Serious News, Light News, Arts and Entertainment, Sports Program and more.

Audrey Zermuehlen and Matthew George both received 6 nominations.  Kiel Cole received 4 nominations.  Juniors Kyle Monahan and Eric Traugott received their third straight nomination in as many years.

"This really culminates an incredible year for our students," Misner noted. "The video program at Alpharetta just keeps getting stronger and stronger," Misner added. Alpharetta had former students entering the film and video industry with companies such as Turner and CBS Sports as well as many YouTube influencers and video start-ups.  This year the film/video program sent students to USC Film,University of North Carolina School of the Arts and SCAD.
