Statistics Olympics

This activity was an exercise in analyzing relationships in bivariate data.  The AP Statistics classes were doing “Statistics Olympics” where they participated in activities at different stations.  They did
1.     standing long jump distance v. height
2.     how many whacks with a paddleball can you do in 30 seconds v. how long can you stand on one foot with your eyes closed, and
3.     how many Blow Pops can you pick up with one hand v. handspan

After students completed all stations, they did a numerical and graphical analysis to determine how strong the relationships were between the two variables, including details to describe the relationships.
