Attorney General Sam Olens visits Alpharetta High School


Attorney General Sam Olens visited Alpharetta High School on September 19th! Mr. Olens, Judge Shawn Lagura, Nelly Miles from GBI, and Laurisa Barthen from the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse spoke to our students about prescription drug abuse. Mr. Olens also encouraged students to participate in a state wide video contest called “We’re not gonna take it!” Students are to submit a 30 second video “showcasing in creative ways why they have chosen or have to choose to rise above the influence and “Not Take” prescription drugs unless they are prescribed to them and necessary.” The deadline for submission is October 28, 2016.
