National Merit Semifinalists

National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), a non-profit organization that operates without government assistance, was established in 1955 specifically to conduct the annual National Merit Scholarship Program.  These individuals are one of approximately 16,000 high school seniors who are Semifinalists, and have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships to be offered next spring.  Qualifying as a Semifinalist is only the first step in the competition for National Merit Scholarships. To receive further consideration, you must advance to Finalist standing by fulfilling additional requirements; only Finalists can compete for Merit Scholarship® awards.  Congratulations and good luck to these Alpharetta High School students.
